is there liek a certain to get perfects. because whenever i hit the spacebar i usually get cools or greats. whens the right time to hit space bar to get a perfect?
It'll come with practice; you just have to get the feel for it. Although people claim to have ways to help their timing, none of that works out for me.
You'll get it eventually. =3
awww... elion beat me to it >.>
ah well.. *agrees w/ elion* ...nvr understood those forumlas nyway...>.>
Yeah like Ellion said, its just practice, and pressing spacebar at the right time (on the beat)
Very true, it all takes practice and you'll eventually get the feel to about where it is, but it still isn't easy to nail it every time.
Generally though, I've noticed (or at least I think I've noticed  ) that perfects are usually at the end of the beat. If you play an instrument or receive instruction with one, you might have been told to lay back and play at the end of the beat so that you won't rush a bar of quarter notes. The harder songs however (like that awful Sweety) seem like the perfect is at the front of the beat.
I hope that makes sense. Maybe I'm just trying to sound like I know more than I really do

but anyway, that's my take on perfing. Maybe it'll help B)
There is a rumor that if you play in TAB mode (press TAB when song starts) it is easier to perf, but alot harder to push down the sequence of arrows. However there are some people who mastered this mode.
It's true.
TAB mode can be trickier because the arrows get much smaller, and they appear in the middle as you hit them; they don't change colour to indicate you're doing it right, so it can be harder to keep track of where you are in a combo.
On the other hand, instead of a bar, there's a little pulsating rotating thing that indicates the beat... which ironically actually is easier to time.
The TAB mode and normal are almost identical, as bar where entered keys are showed is pulsating with colors, as i remember first is blue, then red, green and white, and you have to press space exactly when white flash, the flash of white is bigger then all others so you can train on easy combinations. Because longer ones makes that you don't see colors well, but you can get used to it and look at the end of the bar.
PS. Its also other way i was playing with, enter keys normally, then press TAB, time perfect and press TAB again hehe, little bit tricky but fun and hard, but as i said these pulsating colors are also in normal mode so its pointless after all
