Whenever i play the song is never on beat. i can never get perfects. i play American Audition, use Vista, and have an average of 61 fps so im not lagging. is there any way to fix this? D:

Also, my screen's resolution is 1440 by 900 and is HD. I heard that HD screens usually have sound and video lag so that might be the problem.
is it any particular song or all of them?
nope all of them. but i think its becuase of vista since my other computer has XP and it's on beat. either that or because of N-Vidia, or the sound card since they're both different from the other computer.
maybe, i know when i changed sound cards it affected my perfing for awhile, i doubt it's vista though, cause i have vista and can perf on audition.
oh. i just wish i could somehow sync my soundcard. i mean, you can do it in Guitar Hero and Rock Band. XP
You might be experiencing processing lag, which is based on your ram and processor.
Wait, is that differend from fps. cuz the game isnt choppy since its 61 fps.
FPS for most of us is just graphics processing and game lag is connection or processing lag. But aside from vista using up much of your resources, I think your problem may actually be the game itself and how perfects maybe actually oriented.
I remember reading something about this a looong time ago, but can't find it at the moment so i'll just try to briefly explain it to you.
There are three timings for perfects. Early, normal, and late. On certain songs, the perfect timing maybe slightly early, meaning that you have to space/ctrl just a tiny (very tiny) bit earlier than you normally would. Then on songs with a slightly late timing, you'll have to hit space/ctrl just a tiny bit later than you usually would.
So rather than focusing on the music for a beat, try zoning into the "perfect bar" and when you are playing to figure out timings.
but what i dont understand is that im fine on my other computer. if i can perf a lot on my other computer but cant on the computer im using right now, then why is that?
I suggest try closing all programs other than audition or something important.

Though....are you sure its off beat? You could try using a metronome to check timing.
Ok, i dont play Audition with other windows up or with other programs running, i dont play it with fraps. i know my downstairs computer is on beat because i play flash music games and there on beat, but when i play it upstarairs, the same game is off-beat. this has nothing to do with computer lag, process lag, or any other lag, it's simply the fact that my speakers are not in sync with the game. So i just want to know how to sync my speakers with the game like u do in Guitar Hero or Rock Band. Okay? o.o
Unless i'm rather outdated and uninformed, i'm pretty sure there is no way to sync audition with your speakers. Anyway, I looked up some stuff just now and came across a problem similar to yours. It may be a problem caused by your audio codecs.

Try opening Task Manager, minimising it, then running Audition. I don't really know why but it seems to prioritise Audition higher than those other applications.
