so, as some of you may know, kau added beat rush battle party last night, i played it a bit and got some insight into how it works, so i thought I would share.

Lobby room is set up with the 2 npcs up front, vs. the 4 players in the back:

When you enter the room, you can see the NPC's score and combo on the left, and your team's score and combo bar on the right. You fill the combo bar with your team to get beat rush, but I'm not sure when beat rush time comes, because my team has had the bar filled before, and we didn't get it. So until someone figures out more about that, just know that beat rush could happen at any time.

I didn't get a screenshot of this moment, but when beat rush time happens, obviously you mash control like you would normally, except another bar appears on the screen, as you're pushing control you're fighting against the npcs who are doing the same, if you don't push control enough and the bar fills, it's an insta-lose, i lost a few that way last night. so make sure everyone on your team is alert/good at mashing buttons Tongue

edit: also, i found something else out from playing more, when it's beat rush time, at the start, each side of the bar has a percentage that determines how full the bar will be....like if it's NPC 34% players 66% the bar will only be 34% full. so i think that if you and your teammates have been perfing/chaining well, the bar will start sharply in your favor, and if you haven't....you're gonna get trounced, cause i was in one room where a few of the people really sucked :x and at beat rush time our bar started at like 87% npc....and you can guess what happened lol xD so perf/chain well and you won't get beat by the npcs at beat rush time XD

Scoring wise, it's reaaaaally easy. If you look in my third screenshot, you can see that the Korean girl in first place singlehandedly got a higher score than both of the NPCs combined: i haven't tried with the very hardest npcs, but in general it seemed that even if you had one super pro, or a bunch of average people, you could dominate. I'm hoping kau doesn't change that, you might wanna try to drain these while they're easy Tongue

Notice that there are 3 + dens xD
One is the usual (the normal one where you battle for)
but what about the other two, anybody knows about that?

Hmmm ... We thought it was our lag and because of that, the NPC started earlier xD. (Though, Pudding told us that she got a Korean friend that loses every time so that can't be the problem =/)

I think that what you said about the perfing/chaining, can be true. But that means, that if 1 person plays horrible (because of lag), then you lose 40% =/... I got some SS' btw Tongue.

The CTRL % Bar:

And I got some other stuff figured.

You see those pink and blue bar, right? Well, it decreases, with the Percent that the CTRL spam tells you at the END of the spamming, except if the ctrl spam doesn't go back from 100%.
If you lose 100%, you just LOSE, but if the NPC losoes 100%, they fall like in Union Battle Party.
however, if you lose with 70%, you lose 70% (not sure) of the bar, but if you win with 70%, the NPC loses 70% of their bar. This would be useless if every song only has 1 ctrl spam part.

there is one error that i noticed, in one game i played the bars just kept coming and coming (like double beat, only all the time) and it really screwed me up....i dunno why that happens or if i am the only one it's happened to. lol.

You should try and research the two bonuses.

Compare the bonuses to how we would get them in the other Battle Party modes. The second bonus in Beat Rush Battle Party could depend on how many times you went through a Beat Rush against the NPCs. Wink

To make it more clearly, it's a beat rush bug xD. (AKA, not only BRBP, but also in the normal game).

I could give a list of bugs that I had xD. But I'll give you one that I know of now:
- You get an 8 count rest instead of a 4 count.
- You usually get a double beat after it.
I think for us, it could be lag between servers and our computers.
For them, they are just not good at it...
Or it can be both..
I just came up with the conclusion after trying for myself with the Korean players. We actually have no problems winning. Maybe the overall perfect counts in keeping the gauge above a certain percentage...

One more thing is that I had this song at 120bpm and I got double beat, but it managed to stabilise after some luck (I missed once too)...and I'm two moves ahead of the other players...

They tend to make modes now that don't really favour people with laggy computers though...
Um, I think BR happens whenever both the player's and NPC's bars are filled, not just the player's.

As for the bonuses, the first value is quite obvious, the second value is the amount of times the NPCs were Downed (bar emptied) multiplied by 50, and the last value is the score difference, with the maximum being 900 (900k difference).

Oh man! In that case, think of how much DEN we could get in just one run...
I found out how the Percent stuff works.

Each team got 1 blank bar, right? and it fills with all colorly colours, right? xD.
Well, if ONE of the two bars get filled FULLY, CTRL spam starts.
The team that didn't get it full, gets a punishment. It depends on how much you didn't fill the bar.

So yes, it does depend on greats and Perfects, because they fill up your bar.

There is a place where it doesn't activate:
- Near the end of a game.
