Well, we've seen the graphic novel and movies the game is based on, but you would think there'd be a story on how Audition Town came to be, I mean, as a prequel to Audition's Story Mode.

How did that Crazy Queen take the throne?

Why is Jean being a pushover?

How was "dancer" to be invented as such a threat to the town?

How was "Crazy Dance" considered as a weapon of mass destruction?
wait.....what movie was based off Audition again? o.o
Audition did have an animated series, but I don't know if it was a movie or a TV show.
Audition the movie by Takashi Miike was not the inspiration for the game.

Audition Dance Battle Online was based on a Korean manga (manhwa) called Audition. It was written and illustrated by Kye Young Chon.

You can buy the comics at this link... http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclop...hp?id=8320

There are also fan comic strips on DeviantArt after the Audition manhwa discontinued. Example:

It doesn't answer my question, though. The storyline in the game is still hazy to begin with.
It's translated from the Korean original. Thus being hazy.

Story Mode you mean?

It's all just to allow the player a means to play by him/herself and earn dens and experience points most of the time.
Now that I understand, but it doesn't explain the origin of the town. The developer oughta shed some light on how the town had existed and what happened before Audition Story Mode.
Mannn, thats like asking how did the S4 league start? How did it come about? How are the guns made? What created the "Fumby" and why is it used as the "sporting ball"?
What's with that Café thingy that was available on the old Audition Town?
What was it for?

I thought the Crazy Queen storyline was made up by T3 Entertainment... You mean to tell me T3 actually bothered to make references to the Audition manhwa? I thought they cannibalised the franchise and turned it into their own. Unless you're telling me the original storyline actually involved dancers teleporting away from their homes into the fantasy land known as Audition... Town or Land (I forgot), met a cop who is ironically imprisoned for knowing too much, and uh... Formed a "boy band" (dance group?) who will take on Crazy Queen and defeat her Crazy Dance moves... Can't imagine the book selling very well with such a deranged storyline.

Now rewinding back to the original question, I'm going to ignore Kye Young Chon's work, and assume we're only talking about T3 Entertainment's work. As far as anyone's told in Story Mode, the town was more or less a fantasy land that doesn't exist on Earth (except through portals available to those with a "destiny" to fulfill), just like any other fairy tale that nobody cares to learn about its origins.

As for the café feature, it was pretty much a dedicated chat room. Since everybody noticed what a gimmick it was, the feature was replaced by alternatives. I mean, the only real chatting players would do would be the lobby, (Premium) Messenger, and the FAM Office. I'd include the voice chat feature T3 Entertainment's toying around with, but it isn't very efficient in my opinion so far (probably didn't use the Speex codec).
Woah the old audition town was very old XD
