I always have problems with KAU, so i created a guide to help people who always have these common problems as me.

Problem 1
Click gamestart and nothing happens, or patcher never loads.

Solution 1.1
Go to Control Panel > Clock, Language, and Region > Regional and Language Options > Advanced > Change to Korean settings > Restart computer (By Kaimyn)
Guide to install Korean Unicode here
Solution 1.2
ActiveX not installed, or used with different browsers.
For Firefox users, refer here
Solution 1.3
Use applocale instead of changing your whole computer to Korean unicode. Guide here

Problem 2
Stuck at loading screen forever. (by revivalDJ83) All players not affected by this. The temporary folder was used to contain ActiveX extensions and plug-ins that the respective ISPs did not have on their server. That means to say older versions of the servers they were running. Korea and China so far have the updated versions, for various reasons. There is no ban on IP as far as I've encountered.

Solution 2.1
Replace this (by evluvken) or this (mirror by Gazzy) temporary with the existing on in ur kAU. However, i think kAU now works for global players even without the temporary. (not sure about that)

Problem 3 Pic by Junko.
Catastrophic error while installing. Caused by download accelerator eg. Flashget.

Solution 3.1
Download from the the bugs website, using the weird downloader. Or use direct download. Links here

Problem 4
Weird notice popup. Caused when you uninstalled another Audition from your computer.

Solution 4.1
Registry problem > Download here to update kAU registry to 6771 March 1st 2009 (Includes all other registry values)

Back up ur registry before you uninstall any Audition.
Tutorial by djasakura :
1. Run REGEDIT
2. Go to HKEY user > software > audition
3. right click on AUDITION (the parent directory)
4. select Export Key
5. Save the file on your Desktop as "Audition Backup.reg"
Solution 2.1 : All players not affected by this. The temporary folder was used to contain ActiveX extensions and plug-ins that the respective ISPs did not have on their server. That means to say older versions of the servers they were running. Korea and China so far have the updated versions, for various reasons. There is no ban on IP as far as I've encountered.

Solution 4.1: This only occurs because by uninstalling Audition Korea, you might accidentally "delete" a registry key for your other Auditions as well (Audition Korea being the parent directory in the registry). To see this better, type "REGEDIT" in Start Menu > Run. If you do not have the Run, go to Command Prompt and type "REGEDIT". Under USER > SOFTWARE > AUDITION, you will be able to see the current installed Auditions you have on your computer. If Audition Korea is installed, the key for the version is in the parent key "AUDITION".

The alternative method of updating the version number yourself is by going to the key named "Version" or "VersionNumber", double-click on it, change HEX (DWORD) to DEC (for decimal), and type in the update number (ie 6631).
Uninstalling any Audition will remove the whole AUDITION registry from your computer.

My reg includes the AUDITION > AUDITION_SING.

I tried uninstalling AuditionSEA, and the whole AUDITION registry is removed too. Don't believe you can try yourself.
Nice.

Another tip: Remember to check if your regedit decimal version is the same with the one listed in version.cfg too, sometimes if they are not the same, they will have problems.
Haha updated anyway ^^
Whoa, uninstallation was pretty much tricky then.

I have Audition Philippines, Korea and Japan in my PC. So if I'd try uninstalling either phAu or jAU, it would mess up kAu as well?
Yup, uninstalling will will remove all ur Audition registry.

Backup ur registry first before u uninstall ^^
Now I shall teach you how to backup your key. XD

1. Run REGEDIT
2. Go to HKEY user > software > audition
3. right click on AUDITION (the parent directory)
4. select Export Key
5. Save the file on your Desktop as "Audition Backup.reg"

That should do the trick ^^
So after you've uninstalled, you still have your backup copy.
Nice guide, now I know when I get my broadband back not to use fashget. Thats what kept causing *Cat errors*
Thanks, I'll be needing this. jAu is shutting down next month so there's no use for the client after that.
Hi, I uninstalled Audition SEA and ended up with problem 4. I tried downloading the Kau registry rar u uploaded and ran it but I still do not see the Kau version in my registry.

Currently, I only have the AUDITION > AUDITION_SING files in the registry. Am I supposed to add the values one by one in the AUDITION folder or the AUDITION_SING folder?

And how do you change the registry to the latest version 6634?

Really sorry, computer noob here. No idea what this is all about, lol.

U check AUDITION > and the the values and data on the right hand side.
If there isn't any, and you have KAU installed after August 14th or 18th, use my regedit 6631. Extract first before u double click and overwrite ur existing one.
So if the patcher never comes up, that means you HAVE to have Korean enabled on your computer? o_O
