Uhm.. this comes up when I press Start on the Patcher. Dx
So..now I can't even get in.

Any ideas? I have no anti-virus or anything on, or daemon tools either.. xD

ask someone for there xtrap folder?

I also get that o_o I'm trying to scan with AVG as we speak.

The word "Trojan" in that message seemed creepy. Try deleting everything in the "Temp" folder found in windows.. NOT the Temporary Folder in the game.

That's just a suggestion.. I don't recommend you do it unless you make a backup first. But then again.. it's just a temporary folder.. Try at your own risk. :ph34r:


Also you could do a clean sweep in your hard drive by clearing out temporary internet files and temporary files.. then deleting cookies from your browser etc. etc.

Don't forget to restart after doing clean up.

Okay.. I did some research on this one and I stumbled upon this one:

Apparently, they're having the same kind of problem with X-Trap and for that matter it seemed to have caused more problems than solutions :ph34r: .

From what I understand.. something's running in the background that may cause some interference with the game making it think that there's some malicious activity going on that forces the program to shut down.

Some one suggested to try this one since they claim it similar to what we're having now..

Hmm well I got a new key for my Anti-Virus but uhm... it got blacklisted right after I scanned my computer..but I have over 325 viruses..and countless worms. o_o;;

Soooo, until I reinstall Windows and what not, I probably won't be able to get on.

Open task manager, and try closing Explorer.exe (Processes -> Explorer.exe -> End Process -> Yes) and try Using Task Manager as your file opener.

File -> New Task.. (Run) [on Taskmanager]
find the internet explorer (Program Files -> Internet Explorer -> iexplore.exe) program, go to kAu site, login, patcher opens, try running kAu now.

Right click on Start Bar -> Task Manager?
Or task manager doesn't work for you.. ?

For XTrap, it's simple. If you see that error again, just delete the XTrap files from the game's XTrap folder, empty the recycle bin (or set it to not save in the bin), and run the patcher again. Works for me on Cabal.

That doesn't work in my case. xD

You are so screwed if you can not open task manager with Ctrl+Alt+delete. :o

It's clear evidence that your internet security is severely compromised.

I got hit with it before. I can't even open up my registry since I get the message that "you need to get administrator privilages yada yada yada" I mean wth?!? I installed the frickin OS in the computer myself and I can't open it??

So I tried logging in as Administrator and it still didn't work.


Well.. I dunno.. it seems to me that you really need to nuke your drive and reinstall.

Of course you could try downloading a free trial of Kaspersky (it's just a suggestion) but it pretty much saved me the trouble of going through the hassle of reinstalling and I got a chance to salvage my precious files before totally wiping out my hard drive.

I got my brother to work on my computer..apparently my computer had over 1200 viruses. xDDDD.

I'm not that protective then o_o
