Let him cool down a bit instead of bothering him with the patch. I would get mad if I were him too, maybe in a different sort of degree.
Sometimes I feel that the game is getting spoilt just because people treat it as though it were a "free" game. Cash-paying players aren't getting good enough returns of investment in the game in my opinion.
Maybe if everyone treated it as a free game they will not bother if it were crap or anything but there are really people who supported this game at some point of time or something. It is sad.
Think again. Free games get attacked in forums just as often for anything that shouldn't be there; it's just that the developers of those games wouldn't care since they aren't a company, nor are they working towards a profit of any kind (though donations do exist for some games). The purpose of free games are more towards self-fulfillment, thus delays are forced in much to the players' chagrin. Can communities shrink for free games just like casual games and MMOs? Yes, but it wouldn't affect the developers very much, so they don't really have a reason to cancel their "product" (though players may be discouraged from the low player counts).
That said, Asiasoft aren't developers, thus their updates are delayed by relying on a third-party and forcing the public to believe that as publishers, they are helpless. That kind of bull**** is what separates between a free game and a Virtual Asset Sales supported game. Publishers won't do anything and assume they are helpless (too worried about the business aspect to worry about the technical aspect), while developers of free games will work with the community to deal with issues of the game itself whenever they have time (delays happen very often which pisses the community off, but between working on a hobby and dealing with real life such as a job or a higher education, you tend to say "**** you" to the players and yes, that has happened before).
To clarify your doubts, the patch is still working to date.
Releasing tomorrow or sunday.

Yep, times have changed, most of the stuffs you will see will deem useless after the patch on the bug fix.
