A few days ago, while I was playing Audition, my father entered my room. As I always do, in respect of my parents, I took off my headphones and turned my head towards him. He just stood there with this weird look on his face. I ask him what's up, and he surprisingly asks me what the hell I'm doing. I tell him "playing a game?", with an asking tone in my voice.
Then he asks me if I'm actually trying to break something, because he heard me from upstairs, slamming hard as hell on something...; my keyboard.
So I ask you guys
Do you gently press down your ctrl/space bar, or do you simply just SLAM it, as you try to get a perfect?
I myself can't perfect if I let my hand rest on the space bar, to then gently press it down when it's time. I simply have to tap my fingers to the beat (if it's a slow song, I tap my right hand too. As well as shaking my head sometimes), to then lift my hand up high, and SLAM the space bar, to get a perfect. It's loud as hell, but it helps me perfect (and maybe break my keyboard).
Also, do you use your thumb to hit your bar/ctrl, another finger, or all of them?

When I press ctrl too hard, the button doesn't want to pop out anymore,
because I used to press the key down too hard:

So since my ctrl-key is like that, I press the ctrl-key gently with my index finger :3.
I slam it, but my keyboard is soft-touch so it doesn't really make noise. xD
I talk to my keyboard and say I'm sorry.
... but that spacebar button still gets raped a lot.
i'm notorious for smashing/raping my keyboard when playing audi.
at first my mom was like "wtf are you doing in your room, sounds like your keyboard is exploding." this was before i explained audi to her.
after i explained audi, whenever i would come in the room she would make noises while pretending to frantically press keys and then slam the spacebar. she still does it to this day xD
oh, and beat rush....don't even get me started on how hard i slam ctrl for that xD

I tend to press the ctrl button harder then i normally would if I'm trying to get a perfect. xD Normal habit and the only thing I would start slamming is the Arrow buttons.
I slam them so much that the printing is gone for the left arrow and nearly gone for the right. xD
I slam my spacebar XD and like the more I chain the harder I slam LOL. so its x1 Slam...x2 Bigger slam x3...DIE x4...DEAD x5...GG etc.
I actually press it like normally. Ahaha.. most of the times I can chain better like this XD

Oh wow, tbh I broke my left control key from smashing it so many times on Beat Up, and normal games.
I've only had it for about 6 months, so it's still pretty new, and chipping the part that holds the key in under it, is pretty surprising. :3
My parents never complained about it because they're usually busy and my brother doesn't cause he's all caught up in his room on his computer. He thinks audi is gay.
Normally. I don't see the point in trying to break something for a moment of thrill of getting perfect(s).

Hey, I'm trying to be careful of my keys, y'know?
I've pretty much broken (if not destroyed) my old keyboard. Space bar broke, number pad (from beat up) was getting unreliable with keys sometimes not even pressing. Even normal keys were slightly FUBAR'd.
Even with my new keyboard, my space bar is already starting to wobble. >_>...I guess I know now how I broke 3 Guitars for Guitar Hero.
