This has been thoroughly tested and while some say it contributes to lag (they probably mean client side) and say it makes timing harder, there is nothing wrong with using this and your Audition should - barring unusual circumstance - run fine no matter what you do. I did a little bit of testing and on my computer only my browser seems to terminate it. I seem to be able to pull up IM windows on trillian or mIRC in the background just fine. I suggest a little trying to see what will make it terminate and what won't if you use this.

I will endeavour to find a way to fix the problem.

EDIT: ALT+TAB will close it no matter what you're tabbing out to.

which then defeats the purpose of having window mode =D

I dunno, personally I quite like being able to answer IMs and stuff on IRC now in the background. It'd be nice if it didn't terminate with random other stuff, but such is life. Better than nothing.

This is why we need Xfire support in this game Check out the thread I made in Off topic if you haven't already.

I found out an option that may fix the problem entirely.

For those who've already followed the steps in my first post, go in and select the entry in DXWnd, and use Modify from the Edit menu, tag "Do Not Notify on Task Change".

Will do more testing but it definately seems to fix it. Edited the first post to include this fix. Damn badly documented utilities.

Well I did some solo play while multitasking quite vigorously for about 20 minutes and nothing went boom. I think that means it works. Audition windowed and multitaskable
