Go to your "My Controls," (Control Panel) and then from the sidebar at the left, select "Edit Signature," under "Personal Profile."
The Control Panel is accessed by the "My Controls," text link at the top. It is beside the new messages link.
There are several codes (called BB Codes) that you must use in order to make the forum understand your command. You can type out normal text, while you can add specific codes if you want to do something. Such as bolding your text, adding a link to your text, etc. Since you're a beginner, you can just use the buttons that will appear on top of the space you will type in. They do the codes automatically for you by clicking it.

Be sure you have uploaded the picture you want first.
There are a lot of image hosting sites, such as <a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank">http://photobucket.com</a>
Then get the URL/link of the image you have uploaded and stick it inside the IMG tags.
