I can't open my KAU install file. When I click on it, a warning comes up telling me that it's an executable file with an unidentified publisher and stuff then when I click run, nothing happens. Basically, nothing happens when I click on the setup file. I'm using Windows Vista, is that why?
Yes, my sis uses vista as well. Either sit and wait (for about 10-30 minutes) and do nothing else but wait.. Or.. I think you can right click on it and click run as administrator. If run as administrator doesn't work then just sit there and wait. Go grab a cup of coffee lol

It didn't work.
Really? You sure you sat there for a while? Make sure nothing else is opened though O_o
I have a question for you: have you installed the SP1 (Service Pack 1) for vista?

Because if you did you're in for lots of trouble getting Audition to run on Vista, my situation was so bad that I had to set up an extra partition with XP to make Audition run.

If you didn't install SP1, then I don't know what the problem is (other than Vista being stupid -- I have it installed so I can say that Tongue )

Um well I didn't sit there... I just clicked on it and left. I don't think anything opened while I was away because when I came back, it was exactly how I left it. Could it be that it's because Windows Vista turns off (or hibernates or something) after I leave it for a while?

I didn't install Service Pack 1. My Vista's being stupid then xD At least you got to install it which I can't even do...
Err yea.. try turning off hibernate, sleep and anything else.
Are you sure it isn't Corrupted?
Well even if it is corrupted it should do something.. but i guess go redownload..
Also, as a last resort, if you have an XP disc still lying around and you have some free space on your hard drive, you could try doing a dual partition like I did, instructions are here: dual boot vista and xp

Don't worry, I'm not very good with computers, but it wasn't hard to do.

And Audi runs a lot better in XP anyway.
Sigh... I'm having the exact same problem and I'm using XP too. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

I did that and it still didn't work, I left it for like an hour!

I don't think I have an XP disk around so I guess I'm doomed but thanks for the link.

At least you're not alone...

I'm pretty sure it isn't. I downloaded it twice after the first one didn't work (same thing). It just isn't opening, when I click the setup file, it shows the computer loading for about one second and then nothing happens forever.
Um have direct x installed? Lol.. I'm sorta running out of ideas =/

I do have directx installed, but it's still not working...

Since a new version of KAU came out today, I downloaded it to see if they've changed it (so that it works) but now when I click on it I get this error that says, "InstallShield
Err then your installshield is having problems.. um update it? xD
