Does anyone know how I can actually type korean in game..?
I have it all set up to type in korean and it works for everything except audition, unless I run it in window mode and actually click the little task bar button to force it into korean :S
Thanks <3
Language switching is all I can say. ^-^;;;
Other than typing Korean purely without the language bar use, you have to buy a Korean keyboard.
actually... u dont need a korean keyboard to type in korean. u just need to know where the keys are XD. u can hit alt + shift to change it from EN to KO. then hit alt once more and ur cursor should change into a box type thingy... and now ur all set to type in korean!
Dearie, that IS language switching a.k.a. the language bar.
oh... i forgot to say... the unicode thingy on ur language options needs to be set to korean or u'll just see a bunch of ???/?? when trying to type in korean
okay i got a question, lets say your language bar is set to english i press alt + shift then it changes to korean, but then it has the letter A on it which means the korean language will type english characters but i want it to type korean characters. i know that you can press the A button to change it to korean text but when i'm playing kAU it would be much easier if i found a shortcut key to make it from english to korean >< anyone know it?
umm isnt it the Alt key? press Shift + Alt then Alt again to type in korean
Hmmm, I still keep getting english when I switch to korean for some reason.. ~.~
It's a pity that the Korean language bar doesn't have the automatic Romanji conversion like the Japanese one does. With that, I can just type out arigato gozaimasu, and without changing the position of the keys or anything, it'll just convert the letters.
Anyway, to get the Korean characters, you need to set your Korean language bar to hanja input. Basically, when you switch to the Korean language bar, you'll see a button with an A on it. Click that, and you'll start getting this when you type:
ИU4|PO\ADUOU4
I have a flimsy grasp of the characters so far, so that was just jibberish. Keep in mind that you have to know quite a bit about how a word is put together, as it's not just typing out roman letters and letting the computer convert it. You have to type the right characters in the right order, and it has nothing to do with the way most US english keyboards are set up.
I hope that made some sense, and if it did, that it'll be helpful.
