Haha, I was wondering how do you guys got so good on this game? Is there a way to pratice alone? I know this sounds weird, but what type of set-up do you use?
1) Number pad?
2) Keyboard?
3)Alternative skin? [The tab]
I am hoping that I can fit in with you all soon!

It takes a lot of practice to get good at Audition, there's no quick way :3
I use the numpad on my keyboard, it's hard to get used to at first but it's much easier in the end and it's better to get used to it early so you have less trouble with 8 key. ^^

Personally, I use numberpad, cause i find it easier~ And I use tab mode for 120bpm and lower cause i find it harder to perf on slower songs, and tab mode helps find the beat easier =D

Greetings, fellow forum newbie. Heh, actually, I was using the arrow keys untill after I came to this forum. I read about the licence tests, and someone recommended that you learn 8 key early, since you can get higher scores with it. After that I started using the number pad, and it seems to have reduced the number of accidental key presses.
I'm still learning, myself, and I think it's been about a week and a half since I started playing, maybe two. And maybe just one. My time sense has been horribly skewed of late.
i used to use arrow keys, but then when i learned to 8key, i've been using the number pad...can't go back to arrow keys, cause i fail xD

I also prefer the numpad when playing AU. I've been using the numpad ever since I started, because I find it easier than the arrow pad. I'm lucky because it helped me learn the 8-key better, though I'm not exactly that good in 8-key yet. As mentioned, it takes time to learn things. ^o^ So I hope you continue on practicing~ I don't really use the tabbed skin, but I use it sometimes just for fun.
Yo Milkis, welcome! I'm forced to use the arrows since i've got no numpad on my laptop. -_-
Since nobody has seemed to address this question yet...yeah, you can start a room and play all by yourself for practice, but honestly, you should always try to play with other people, 'cause even if you come in last, you'll still get some den and some exp, whereas playing by yourself, you don't get anything.
