*is shy* Hi guys....I really wanted to do a fanfic that chronicled my experiences from the time I started kau to the present day. Most people I have talked to on a regular basis in kau have already asked me to be in it....if I haven't asked you or you haven't asked me and you would like to be in it please contact me on MSN so I can write you in. Apart from that, I hope you enjoy reading my story ^^ I just started writing it today, but I can write quite quickly when I have a mind to, so it should start getting interesting soon ^^ Comments are love, and if you steal or repost my story, then my evil scythe of doom will come down upon your head with a vengeance, 'kay? 'Kay.
<div align="center">Chapter One</div>
A young dancer named Stephanie smiled as she left her friends at the gate to Audition Town, the dance center where they all practiced together. After a long day of training, she was eager to get home and relax. “I’ll see you guys tomorrow, all right?” Her friends nodded and waved as Stephanie walked rapidly toward her home, which was only two blocks from Audition Town.
The moment she got in the door, her mom was waiting, holding up a letter. “Steph, this came for you – from the Korean Audition Town,” she said, pronouncing her last three words with emphasis to let her daughter know how important this matter was. They currently lived near the South-East Asian Audition Town, which was fairly large – but everyone knew that the Korean Audition Town was the best. Not just anyone could get in – dancers from the other Audition Towns had to audition in front of Korean Audition masters to be able to join. It was very elite, and competition was fierce. Stephanie had auditioned a few months ago, but since she’d never heard anything, she’d assumed she hadn’t made the cut.
“Well?” her mother demanded, breaking into her daughter’s reverie. “Are you just going to stand there mooning around like an idiot, or are you going to open the damn letter?” Despite her mother’s harsh words, Stephanie knew that her mother was very, very proud of what she had accomplished in Audition Town. So she smiled as she took the letter out of her mother’s outstretched hand. “I’m opening it.” She carefully pulled open the letter and read aloud:
Dear Stephanie Johnson,
We are pleased to inform you that the results of your audition to join Korea’s Audition Town are in. You are by far one of the best and most talented dancers we have seen in a number of years. Therefore, it is our pleasure to extend you an invitation to join us and become a dancer for the Korean Audition Town. To ease the problems that arise from culture shock, we have invited other foreign dancers who will all live together, in the same dorm, and train together. We hope that you will accept our invitation. Enclosed is money for your journey to Korea. If you accept, please come no later than May 23, 2007.
Sincerely,
The Korean Audition Masters
Stephanie finished reading. Today’s date was May 19, so she still had time to decide. But in her heart, she knew her decision was already made. It was her dream to be one of the best dancers in all of Audition Town. To reach that dream, she had to go to Korea and dance with the best dancers on earth.
“Are you going?” her mom asked. Joy and sadness mingled on her mother’s face. Since it was only the two of them, Stephanie knew that it would hurt her mother to watch her leave. But she also knew that her mother would never stand in the way of her dream.
“Yes,” Stephanie nodded, acknowledging what she knew was inevitable. “I’ll say goodbye to my friends tomorrow and pack. Then I’ll leave the day after.”
“Okay, sweetheart,” Stephanie’s mom said as she reached out to hug her daughter. “I know you’ll become one of the best dancers in the world,” she whispered.
“Thanks, Mom, I hope so too,” Stephanie replied quietly.

The following day, Stephanie made her way back to Audition Town to play with her friends for the last time. She was quiet through much of the day, and her friend Kim finally asked her why. “Umm…well…I got a letter from the Korean Audition Masters…they want me to move to Korea and become a dancer there.” She waited anxiously for her friends’ responses, wanting them to say that they wouldn’t forget her and that they’d still be friends. What she got was much different.
Kim’s face turned stony after she heard Stephanie’s news. “Well, I should have expected it,” she said curtly.
“What do you mean?” Stephanie asked, hurt by her friend’s cold tone and expression.
“I guess we’re just not good enough competition for you, here in this little Audition Town, so you have to go to Korea,” Kim sneered in reply.
“Yeah, it seems that all the attention you got here finally went to your head,” another friend, Trisha, put in.
“It’s not like that!” Stephanie was struggling to find the right words to defend herself and make things okay again. “We’ve all talked about Korea and how we want to go there. If you want to be the best dancer you can be, you have to end up in Korea eventually!”
“Yeah, well, if you’re going to forsake your family and friends for it, then fine,” Kim said curtly. “Have a nice life in Korea. We won’t miss you at all, you spoiled bitch.”
Stephanie bit her lip to hold back tears. I won’t let them affect me, I won’t... She took a deep breath and became composed again. “Okay, I just came to say goodbye to you guys, because I’ll be leaving tomorrow. But since you don’t care, I’ll cut it short. I still have packing to do.” She gave Kim and Trisha tentative smiles. “My mom’s going to send my letters to me. If you change your mind, you can always write.” Best to leave the door open for old friends, just in case. She waited for a response, but neither of them said anything. “Okay, I’ll be going then. Best of luck to you guys.”
Then Stephanie turned her back on her former friends and strode out of Audition Town to prepare for her new life.

Some questions you may have had after reading:
Q: Who are Kim and Trisha based on?
A: No one, really
I didn't make many friends during my time in SEA, it was only when I went to kAU that I met all my Audition friends.
Q: May I be in your story?
A: Well, that depends. If I've seen you a lot on kau and we are already friends, then of course you may be. If we haven't spoken a lot but you would like to be, you can talk to me about your character's profile and you miiiight make an appearance. No promises though, I reserve the right to be an erratic, unpredictable artiste <3
Q: If I am in your story, when will I appear?
A: No promises on that either. I'm trying to go in chronological order, so if I met you when I was new to kAU, you'll show up much sooner than someone I met last week.
Q: So boring so far! I want action!
A: Hush, it's the first chapter. I had to set up a frame for the story. In chapter two, I'll begin writing about my kAU experience and things should pick up from there.
Oh and in case anyone was wondering: I've already drafted Multi to make an appearance. It may not be for awhile, but the insanity of the Blartchis' conversation with Multi shall be preserved to the best of my ability to do so in a story~hahaha.
Thanks for reading this to the end and....I hope you enjoyed my story so far!
