So like, I've pretty much hit a wall when it comes to improving in any of the modes. Obviously lag and semi-freezing compie doesn't help, but even when I don't have lag all I can pretty much do is 4k up to 150 bpm (no chance), 8k up to around 110 bpm (no chance), and Beat up is slightly easy for me but i've seen people wreck at it and claim they only use one hand.

I was wondering if everyone could say how they position their hands when they play these modes, since there must be something they're doing that I'm not aware of (like a hidden easy-mode key or something).

Currently I just use the arrow keys with one hand in 4k.
One hand on the num pad in 8k.
Two hands on the num pad in beat up (left hand has 7,4,1, right hand has 9,6,3,5).
If there's any other hard mode I'm missing you can add it in there, thankie :3
4k - arrow keys; positioned index on left, middle on down (to hit down and up), ring on right

8k - num pad;
-positioned index on 4 (to hit 7, 4, and 1)
-middle on 5 (to hit 8 and 2)
-ring on 6 (to hit 9, 6, and 3)

BeatUp - num pad (one handed, using 8k hand position)

This is how I do it, though BeatUp may vary from person to person, but this is my primary hand positions for these modes XD

Oh I use the same, except for

8k - num pad:
middle on 2 (dunno why, it's something I do automaticaly)

BeatUp:
Left hand on CTRL (Not really important but meh.)
How would you use one hand on Beat up? >_>
like i said, basically follow the rules to playing 8k, only for BeatUp (hit 5 in replace for space, for that beat thing at the bottom...i COULD do a video to give an example of what i mean, if i gotta lol

Do itttt XD
EDIT: nvm, to lazy to find out where to put the camera~
Not sure if this would pass as a one-hand technique:

Still amazes me how he did it though

As for me:

I have my index finger on 4 so I can hit 4 and 1

My middle finger on the 8 key (dunno I kinda got used to it) so I can hit 7

My ring finger on the 6 since I can pretty much reach all the keys on the right (9,6,3)

Sometimes I use my thumb to hit the Ins/0 key since it works just the same as the space bar though I'm much more comfortable using my left hand instead.

If I find the time I'll set up one of my cameras.. problem is I'm not getting enough light in the room so I have yet to figure out where I can get a good light source.

Will update this when I figure it out Tongue

EDIT:

Alright I finally gathered my stuff and filmed myself

Enjoy Wink
Just experiment and use what feels good to you. As long as you can hit all the keys, it's fine. X.X
I just made a video lol. xD
