I just got this stupid idea from others' {Audition Town Ailliance} Fanfics (Hanako,Ice_cream,Nick,Chic).

Audition Messenger
Handheld will be patched to Audition Messenger as soon as one entered the town.It is automatic and one would be controled by unknown mind wave distracting them from witinessing the patching process of their handheld.
This handheld can be upgraded with den,but require the members to have sufficent level before allowing to do a mission to gather materials for upgrading the Messenger.Below is a list of the known handheld.

How to get:Level 6 UP,no pressence of "Noob amulet"

New!N-W:L(NPC weaken:Lag,Lag NPC for 1 second,cause scoring go down e.g. Perfect->Great,Bad won't go Miss)
How to get:Level 8 up,10x perfect in a free channel room with level 6- characters,everyone use SDN on you afterwards

Isn't these handheld helpful?There are many more custom-builded like Ice_Cream's one,but a custom one is hard to build.Most of the types above are known by public of Audition.Handheld is a important part of Audition,allowing you to keep in contact with friends.
