...and for those not in the "know" this simple funny image some random kid did (or so we assume...) and was quickly a web fad...has recently be released a trailer for the actual movie that we were all so willingly joking about and accepted!

Uh, the meme was created BECAUSE of the movie. Not the other way around. The working title was actually changed from Snakes on a Plane to Pacific Air Flight 121 quite early on. But then changed back again because, well, Pacific Air Flight 121 is a shitty name. Like Jackson said, the only reason he wanted to do it was because the script title was Snakes on a Plane and I think he probably put quite a bit of pressure to have the title changed back. It's also not an actual trailer but just footage.
