I thought about doing this yonks ago, but never really got my hands on it until yesterday. Here's a guide on how to register for cAU for those who can't read chinese.

First of all, you will need to make a 9you account. You can do it here : http://register.9you.com/regist1.jsp

Things to note:
1. You security code can't be changed once set, and it is needed if you want to change your account password etc.
2. You will need a identity card number in valid format. (ie. you cant just enter a random combination of digits and hope it'd work). You can get one generated here : http://id.unet.cc/?region=china
3. It's better to say that you're over 18. If you're under 18, your account will be put under this "addict prevention scheme" (?) that is required by China government etc. I don't know what it does, you can try it to find out if you so wish

After you finished filling up the form, click submit and a small window will pop up. Click okay and it will take you to this page.


^ Click on that orange link to activate your audition account.


^ Login with your username and password.


^ This page lets you choose what server you want to play on. cAU is different from other audition servers in the sense that it has a different server for different region of the country. Every one of them server is independent and not related to any other. Your ign will be the same in every one of them (decided when you register your 9you account) but none of them will affect each others.

The server marked in orange is the one I play on. New servers have less players. As for popular servers, you have to pay to activate your account there, and this is done via cellphone (ie. we can't do it).


^ After you picked the server you want to activate, you can choose to use a new password or the default password for your 9you account. Click submit after you've done everything.


^ Tada! You're set. Now you can choose to activate your account on another server, or you can start downloading the gameclient :]

Great guide, but could you possibly add a screenshot of which server you select to log into from the patcher window? 'Cause I'm trying to find which one to log into and I've logged into about six so far where it doesn't recognize me because I'm not registered on that server.

Edit: nvm, i can't get in no matter what...this is the error i'm given...



P.S. - When I installed, it didn't give me a chance to choose where I'd save it, and it ended up overwriting kau somehow even though they are in different folders. so for now i've uninstalled it, but umm...how do you have your folders set up so that kau and cau don't overwrite one another?

The error says wrong account o_o...

same thing happened to me before, so I moved my cAU folder to a different drive and that solved the problem. But my kAU was messed up and I had to redownload and stuff... I don't have cAU on my pc atm so I'll download it again soon, and I'll let u know how I go round about it, if I could.

There is no way to set it, u'll have to go into registry and alternate between the two, if u wanna keep both of them in ur machine

oh and rain idk what the problem with the login is, kuze made me one and i made one, both were activated like you showed in your ss, but i get the same error on both of them.

i guess my playing cau is not meant to be lol.
