This started to happen after I got audition installed on my laptop

I'm just in the middle of playing when all of a sudden my computer just shuts off.

I checked the cables the first time because it's happened before that it was loose and the battery just died in my laptop...

that wasn't the case

And now it's affecting my gameplay on Maple Story as well.

and it only happens when I play these games.

does my laptop just hate audition? Sad
hrmmm maybe it does, maybe it doesnt but it could be a virus thats making ur laptop shut down or firewall or auto shutdown is enabled...could be many things cuz if its affecting ur gameplay by lag then its most likely the programs ur runnin or firewall itself but shutting down just like that? hrmm not sureee but scan ur laptop for any threats and check if auto shutdown is enabled somehow
laptops have the tendency to over heat especially when a laptop that cannot handle the requirements audition needs it will force itself to run much more hot in ur system creating it to crash. make sure you meet minimum req. also try updating to a new driver on your laptops video card =D hope it works out for ya

wellv my laptop is about 2 months old, so it's not like I'm abusing the poor thing, and it fits the requirements perfectly.

I've ran virus checks a few times and my harddrive is as clean as a whistle

I thought it could be overheating but it did this once when I turned on my computer for no loner then 10 minutes that day

it's wierd, I hope it's just because of the update, because it was fine before I got said update O.o;;
im also playing audition on my lappy and so is my gf so maybe the drivers for your graphics card? try going to the website for your graphics card and download the update drivers... usually that fixes many many gaming problems such as memory leak, over-heating, etc...

some graphic webbys are:

ati.com
nvidia.com
intel.com

hope yoo can get it up n werkin =D
Maybe it's the laptop and not the game...maybe they screwed up the graohic cards? Thats usually whats crashing (my..) computers...if you can't fix it you should let the guys you got it from check it again
k thanks, I'm gonna go check that out now.

hope it's nothing too serious. I'll tell yuu how it went ^^
