Hi, I'm the recorder for KAU. I usually have the songs on KAU recorded within a couple days of release, but it's impractical to release 4 packs a month, so we wait and compile one pack per month. GN started that tradition and when I took over the job I continued it. It's not about us slacking or being lazy, it's just that GN and I both have busy schedules and once a month updates are what works for us.
Of course, if you'd like to record your own songs so you have them sooner, that's always an option ^^ (not being sarcastic, i know several people that record the kau songs for their private use.)

Just wanted to say : Yui - I Wanna Be near the beginning, there's a crappy low quality part, then it goes back to high quality. LOL

Hi, I just listened to the song again, I didn't notice anything amiss, but I will say that a lot of Yui's songs, since she's generally an acoustic artist, sound a little more "lo-fi" than the well produced dance/club songs a lot of us are used to.
The other thing is, that I'm recording audio from a compressed source, since all Audition songs are compressed into an extremely small file format. The more a file is compressed, the more the sound quality is lost. I do my best with Audacity to bring back CD quality, but it's not always possible. If you don't like the way I provide the songs, there are plenty of other ways to find them.
Also, try to remember that there is a person behind the computer screen with feelings, I spend a long time recording and turning these songs into mp3s (plus romanizing and translating kau songs so everyone doesn't go "omfg it's korean i can't read it!") every month for you all to have, and you'd be surprised how rarely anyone offers up a thank you. I'm not asking for much, I'm not doing this job for applause or accolades, but it does bother me when someone calls the work I do crappy, I spend a lot of time checking and double checking, yes I do make mistakes sometimes, and I'm always happy to correct them, but I work far too hard for my work to be called crappy, thank you.

not really, since you could just playback the hugeass video and record straight off of that, rather than rip the audio as a wav file and convert =/

Yup, I'm sorry, I also use vdub to turn the video's audio into a .wav and open the .wav in audacity.
