Somehow I got a feeling that ur wondering how *I* became admin so that YOUU could maybe be one too, right?
I can't exactly say that "u have to be a mature poster and post alot" or w/e people have claimed is the best way, but it's SOOO much more than just that, you have to actually contribute to the community, give us stuff that we've never seen before, something new, something interesting ya know? And you also gotta be possitively well known by everyone. A bad example: kakasensai wants to be mod.....<_< does he post maturely? does he contribute? do people know him on a positive basis? Every time we visit the forums do we see him online? :o These factors are just a small portion that people look for when looking for new people to be mods.
Another thing is that you can't "die" on us  We've recruited 7 mods in total for these boards (me being the only one who's ever been promoted to admin) and as most people can really only see, there's 1 REALLY active mod and that's being shubygirl. We recruited her back in November 26th because I noticed her being VERY active, and I suggested her to be mod, and silentkiller (the "god" of these forums XD) said that it would be a good idea and made her a mod (with her approval of course) Even though she didn't post a whole lot in the general forums to begin with, just the small posts that she posted proved she was mature enough to handle the position. We recognized her on a positive field, and she didn't post immaturely, like some people are starting to now.
Are we looking for mods? Not at the current moment. With what we've got now, and the maturity of the many members on these forums there's really no need to have new mods at this time. When we feel we need new people, we'll ask. And begging isn't gonna get ya anywhere either...if anything it'll LESSEN your chance at being mod
How did I end up being admin u might ask? It's very simple, I joined these forums shortly after they JUST opened up almost a year and a half ago, and within 2 months, they were looking for mods, and everyone had suggested me, because of my contribution of the Audition OST (back then only the gAU songs) and with that I became mod. When people started posting in the Offtopic hut very sort of immaturely I had pm'd silent about these posts, and he noticed my awesome job as mod, and promoted me to super mod so that I could mod offtopic and help that out with it's problems (including riding the 300+ bot topics that were created there) And then a few weeks ago, people were BEGGING for an ACTIVE admin to deal with the bot issue, and all fingers pointed at me, thus asked silent, said "that'd be a great idea" and made me admin! ^_^ So yeah, the people cried for the bots to be delt with, and their wish came true. As I'm sure you noticed when posting this topic it had to be validated before it could appear on these forums, which is the solution to the bot problem that's migrated onto the General Audition forum and not Offtopic (now The Backyard XD) I may end up having to validate Newbie Zone too since a few of those are poping in there as well <_<
K, wall of text over, I'm sure I've pretty much answered your question, and the zillions of other questions you had in mind XD </textwall>
