The bots are getting annoying, can you please do something about the registration so they don't get in as easily?
Kill them, Kill them all I say!
I still think we should do what I thought up... >.>

yeah It's very annoying x__x
@Kumal

What Killha said. Tongue

I just hope that something gets done kinda soon... It's only a little annoying. xD
Oh. Oops dupe topic. Tongue

Manual activation is an idea, but it's very slow unless you've got someone checking every hour, I dont think anyone wants to do that. I'd still prefer that the user enter one of those codes before registering. (Type what you see in the image.) I think those are bot proof for the most part.
You guys are funny, I bet if YOU guys were admin you TOO would have no f***ing clue what to do! XP

I won't talk about my past much so I'll leave it as me saying, it isn't an easy job so I know how it's like. lol
Heheh....I guess I should kinda apologize for my last post...I was kinda angst to begin with seeing that post, while I was away on my vacation to the anime convention.

My excuse is simple...you guys have actually seen what *I* see and delete on a near daily basis. This past weekend I had very limited internet access at the hotel I stayed at, so I was able to go on one day, and went ahead and rid the Offtopic / Forum Games of the bots (yes, all 6+ of them ~__~) There is no stopping them. It's like getting spam in your inbox, no matter how hard u try, they'll continue to come and rape you with offers and deals that are just "amazing". I got shuby to delete as much as she could in the other boards, cuz she doesn't have mod powers for Offtopic, and forum game boards, which is kinda sad but meh...I guess it just gives mods certain restrictions from "super" mods heheh
Which is why I said if you change your mind about your decision, I'm here...
I'm an super mod on a torrent site. Tongue Hundreds of posts to seed through per day, gets kinda hard. XD

So I know what it's like. Wink

What you could also do, it set it up so an admin/moderator has to view each topic that is posted there.

Topics aren't posted TOO much, and that would also stop redundant topics, as well as the bots. Smile
wait, u mean verification of new topics that are created BEFORE they actually get posted?
Yep. Before, on my other post, I meant the admin/moderator should active accounts, but seeing as that most likely won't happen, you could make it so in that one section when people post, the thread is submitted to be accepted by a mod. ;o

Meaning, you have to accept it before it's posted, obviously. :3

It's worked wonders in many areas where bots like to post on my forum.

(We don't have the admin account activation thing, because we get 50-100 new users every day. -_- We do use the image pin input thing though)
