Okay guys, I need help with this. I'm trying to pass my license, the song is funky town and I need 19 perfs. At the beginning of the song I can usually chain at least an x2, but after where the guy starts rapping, I get all greats and can rarely perf again until the last 20 seconds of the song, no matter how careful i am to press space on the beat. As you can imagine, that pretty much kills my chances of passing the license.
Sooo my question is: for the middle of the song, early perf window, late perf window, or am I just an idiot? lol.
If someone can help with this that would be awesome <3
The only thing I could say is, practice on that song with an easy mode
I had troubles with funky town licence as well, sometimes it took me 10 or 15 tries, then got lucky chain and passed it. I think the perf spot comes earlier, it's not at the end of the beat like with most songs. One tip> I think it's easier to perf if you don't look directly at the perf spot.
@ Vpower: I've practiced for over a month already on the same mode (freestyle) and same stage that the license will be on. The perfs just ain't coming xD

Edit: i failed my lvl 19 licence 17 times :3 my friend did it because i almost trow the pc from the 2nd floor xD, after that i started to practice it a lot and now i chain it with no problems :x

Because you can't exactly see the perfect spot that well (well, I can't) and you need to listen for the perfect spot. That used to be the easiest song to perf everrr. Then it just got blech. I don't know what to tell you. Try to ignore the words and focus on the beat. There is only the beat. BE THE BEAT.

Nah, after reading what you guys wrote here and watching that video, I sort of started getting better at perfing. I chained an x6 in the practice right before I did license, and i've already started practicing for the next license so when the time comes hopefully I won't have problems.

I've always found tab mode to be really confusing :/ How does it make perfing easier though?

BUT i do not look at the bar gauge i alwys listen to the beat and it always works so much better for me... its worth a try ^_^ ....
