One of the best animes ever made... Only 14 episodes though. It's impressive story, about girls with let's say some kind mutation... Their psychical abilities are better, they can throw objects without touching them and so on ^^. If you want to know more, go to animenfo site

But on the other hand in this anime in some episodes is extreme violence, but without the violence the anime wouldn't be that good.
And szasuke I know your favorite anime

, though I didn't like it as much as Elfen Lied ^_^

Ima, Sokoni Iru Boku a.k.a.
Now and Then, Here and There
Now and Then, Here and There is
definitely not for everyone. It's not for kids, it's not for people looking for a laugh or a jolly good time. It's for people who want to watch something that'll make them think, care and cry. This is not a happy-feel-good-fun-time show, it tackles difficult subjects like war, rape, child soldiers, slavery and all kinds of atrocities. As with most anime, but especially with this one, don't watch a dub of it. The voices here need emotion and the english voices are pretty pathetic a lot of the time compared to the result the japanese cast gave it.
So many images, so few pertaining to the point of the show XD
AnimeNFO: Yakitate!! Japan
Yakitate Japan is about a boy (Azuma Kazauma) who decides to go out with his awesome bread making skills to try and get accepted with work in the biggest bread company in Japan: Pantasia.
A silly anime with crazyness left and right, but makes you drool because they make sure you know everything is so much better than it plain-out looks. Also, the ownage that comes along in this show. Even if you don't know much about breads and cooking, they explain it in such a way that leaves going, "Holy-crap-he-owned-that-guy-I-want-one-of-those..."
Although it may seem kinda like random bread making, it follows a pretty good storyline full of twists, and, all-to-convient, bad situations (but leaves you wondering how they're gonna pull out of it).
I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY suggest it for anyone and everyone who likes a good humor down.
<3 Yakitate Japan.

I remember watching that awhile ago and it really impressed me. It was my top anime of all time  then basilisk showed up and it became number 2 for me <_< . but i definitely recommend this anime although its not for everyone, its only for people over 18... its quite violent, gruesome and brief nudity >.< welps great pictures =D brings back memories. did you see the special?

QUOTE(szasuke 4 Feb 10 2006, 11:26 AM)

I remember watching that awhile ago and it really impressed me. It was my top anime of all time
My friend said Elfen Lied was good, and he's not too much of an anime go-er (The only animes I know he watched and liked was Gantz, Elfen Lied, and Sailor Moon  )
So...why not. I'll check that out along with Fate stay Night, as they both interest me the most right off the bat...
Aaaaafter I'm done watching all these other gigs of anime and manga
I liked Elfen Lied alot, but some of the things sort of brought it down. Some corny moments trying to lighten the mood, some pointless nudity (most nudity had a part in the story though) and the whole "Nyu" thing. Her saying only 'Nyu' was way too cheezy and cheap anime-esque. It sort of ruined the mood by having this bubbly Chobits-esque skit thrown in.
Possible Spoilers for Elfen Lied, read at your own warning.

Also, Milkchan. Now and Then, Here and There has a beginning that could probably mislead you. The beginning looks kind of like some sort of highschool magical girl romance story, but it's definitely not. The ending was also kind of a bit dissapointing, seemed like a quick cheap fix. But anyway, hope you enjoy.
