when I press game start button in patcher that comes out!
i didn't install anything invalid!!!
why does that come out!!?

Actuallly I got this a while back while I was in Xp. I was freaking out because I don't remember installing anything and especially when i just played audition the night before. But then i realize what the problem was adn it was because i turned off Data prevention execution in order to see if Virtua Tennis 3 for the PC works without crashing. However that failed but i forgot to turn it back on. Anyways, to see fi it's on or off

Go to your control Panel-->System-->Advanced Tab
Then Under the Performance Section click on Settings-->Data Execution Prevention
Make sure it set to "Turn on DEP for essential Windows Programs and services"
Click Ok then Apply and then Ok again
It will ask your to reboot, do so and run it again, then it should work!

Now, i wont' gurantee anything but that's how I fixed it.

^- If that doesn't work then some files didn't extract correctly. Probably HSHIELD files or something. Just repatch. Manually if you still run into problems.

Hi, i have the exact same problem.
i've tried doing the method Supergluey has posted but it was already set to "Turn on DEP for essential Windows Programs and services".

any other suggestion why this is happening? I was playing fine the other night. It happened today after i defragmented my laptop.

I had the same problem, but i solved it.
When you uninstall the previous version, it doesn't erase every file. Find an eraser program that deletes file completely from hard disk. After that just install the new version and it should play.
