American Audition as we know is being handled by Nexon. But however, over the last few months I have been having my doubts about how Audition with Nexon in charge. Here is some worries I have...
1) Possible editing to fit the American crowd: I already saw this happened with Dance (SUper Dancer Online for Americans), with AAu being well...American. The characters could wind up getting a face lift to look "realistic". God who knows what may happen with the AAu Closed beta. Hope nothign funny happens to our Audition looks...
2) Hackers: I knew I should put this as top Priority so I will give you the benefit of the doubt right now to say AAu will have more hackers then SAU ever will. If Maple Taught me anything is that Nexon cant stop the damn hackers cause their GMs are too lazy to do anything. I best say these guys will make the Vietnamese hacker population look small...
3) Content: Ah god, if there is something embarassing about Nexon is that we are quite behind in content. Compared to the other versions of Maple Story, we got a bigger population yet we dont have enough content. Meanwhile SMS is already into Shanghai right now and is busily expanding their contents lists. How embarassing is that? Oh well...good thing we knwo how to register for the other auditions...
Now that you think of it...Audition never had an "Western" release before, as in the states, england, etc etc. It's been focused on the "Eastern" releases, or the Asian audiance of course...
So the possibility of them changing stuff is kinda moderate but I doubt they will in a way

isnt Jau from Nexon too? o.o
Well monstly of the games are out-dates compared with their azn versions or original versions. I doubt they change the faces since they arent really asian they are more like "anime style" plus they probably get the skin choose from start so anyone can choose w/e they want i guess. And hackers... well all depend on developer and players, if every1 is like "hey hacker come in and npc with me and my buddys" then it will be crowded. hackers exist in americans servers due to american players attitude nothing really related with gms or developer (and many gms in many games are azn too ^.^). Im not being racist with americans since im south american but well, i dont have the i love hackers attitude that almost every1 in na-iternational servers has.

I'd have to agree with Gigglez
Hacker Issue - If Hackers start to take interest in Aau, it wont be the only one getting "Hacked". As of now Audition isn't a popular/widely known game in North America. I bet you if American Audition picks up the attention of hackers. Those hackers will just as easily make a hack for all other versions of audition(sAU,kAU, ect....). I know hundreds of guys that could take a look at Audition and really screw it over. The thing is none of them know about the game(or care enough to hack "a dancing game"). As the popularity of AU increases so will the number of hackers. Realistically den WILL be hacked no matter what. It already has been on all versions of AU too. Personally I think the AU community is really really lucky that more trainers/hacks haven't been released to the public. The best that they can do is update their protection and keep the hacks that are released to the public to a minimum.
@Tsuka - SDO was anime style and look wat happened to it
and neway, i guess Hotshot's right. AU aint exactly well known, so hackers arent that bad of an issue (in a global view). But it doesnt matter how many hackers there are, cuz either way, hacks r gonna be inevitable. Meh, i dont even think i wanna switch over to Aau neway, cuz i spent so much cash on sAU already O-o, and plus, who knows wat rate's they'll have XD
um...u guys keep forgetting Viets r the hackers right?
and as I said before, American's barely know about the game anyways, so community will most likely be small, or moderate...but I'm SURE no one will wanna be hack crazy...but as we all know viets will find out about it, move there, and clutter it with hacked rooms -_-
But also, this is regionaly different for each Audition game. I highly doubt that every single Audition game that was made in existance was overrun by Vietnam hackers and such. Global was strictly cause it was "global". It was easily accessable for people to enter cause it was more or less an "international" release...However, American Audition to the Viets could be just another audition starting out and it wouldnt get that much attention in the beginning. Only reason Sea and such suffered what it did was because of the popularity so as everyone said...there's not much to worry about (yet, but there still isnt anything to worry about) so just stay out of the "Hackerphobia" for now and don't dwell on what the future might be.
@3kn wtf? O.o

Dude shut up its over already I'm sure no one cares about that stuff way back when.
Also I bet he is older then you
Also make your sigs smaller or something. They look to big and horrid.
Content-wise Yedang hardly makes any changes to the default game besides whatever crappy logo is pasted on the stage. There shouldn't be much to worry about. aAU is going to be what gAU was going to be. That's it. And if they get nothing but Vietnamese players it's going to shutdown too.
@Jin: ffs, got enough pictures in your signature?
Nexon America or NX Games does do something with the hackers in GMS or OMS they did on February 6th that is =o
They updated GMS From ver.33 to .34 causing the hackers CRC Bypass not work =P
And....I don't think they'll change faces =] If they did they should have on the flash game xD
16 posts GONE!
Final warning, I start seeing arguments about who's hacking and who's not, I'm locking this thread...this is starting to seriously tick me off...-_- Such arguments should be taken over PM's, and not on the forums where everyone can read.
I think something should have been done at that the first flame >>.
