It will run from Nov 17-26. Just a reminder this will be on AaU.

I've been thinking of this for quite some time, and I think it would be a great time to start. I was thinking of starting our own goAudition.org Tourney. Prizes will be available as well which will be supplied by a friend of mine who sells Anime items. His name can not be disclosed because of privacy issues, no worries hes not doing anything against the law. Back to topic.

Heres how the tournament would work:
It will consist of two/two brackets. 8key/4key and upper and lower brackets.

Basically We will split the 8key and 4key players.
Then we will have the "upper" and "lower" brackets which are basically the extreme pros and the pros.
Each consisting of their own prizes.
I will make a graph to show how it looks cause its hard to explain.

Prizes Include:
Anime Box Sets
Anime Cosplay Costumes
and Anime Items: ex: Ichigo's Sword.

Anti-Cheat: to prevent cheaters its required that all demos be recorded and sent to me.

Here's a breakdown of how it may look depending on the number of players.

ROUND 1: Double Elimination [meaning you have to lose twice before your out of the tournament. Those who do lose go down to the lower bracket, and those that win advance on the upper bracket.
ROUND 2: In the upper bracket, if you lose you go down to the lower bracket. And so on.

There will be moments when we don't have enough players to play so we have something called a "bye" where you just advance without having to play anyone, that is in a very rare case. It could also be that your opponent does a "no-show" and has to Forfeit the match.

At the end, the winners of upper and lower bracket will face each other in a championship. Which will be the best of 3 songs.

Ok great but what audition server is this going to be held on I really wanna participate but I can't play KAU so is this going to keep me from being able to play?

This is really a trial phase, and unless I can get more people to be the "anti-cheaters" for each server, I can only stick to one right now, being that will be AaU.

I think this is a nice idea, altho tourneys are kinda the ONLY idea/event that fans can provide...but what really gets me is the prizes. Normally, it'd be cash, but in this case, its a physical item. How would u send it to ppl? you'd need their mailing/home addresses, which normally isn't disclosed to "unknown" people, or in other words, people they don't know, so how are you gonna obtain this info?

and on a side note, i can help out on aau as an anti-cheater on aau considering thats where most ppl would probably be and maybe kau if i can manage to re-dl it...

oh and another thing, IF its going to be on multiple servers, will there be prizes for all winners of each server, or are they gonna come together on one server and winners will play the Finals on one server? (it prolly wont work considering not every1 has certain servers but ya...)

Yes I would have to know their mailing address, so if they want to participate and win and get the prize they'll have to trust me. Well all things considered, you've met me in real life ^.^ haha. So has like 4 other people from audition. I'm not a stalker >.<

Yeah this is a trial, so I will probably stick to just the Aau server for now, Right now there are 12 prizes that were supplied to me, and he has promised me he will supply more since these are just overstocks.
yes and winners will play finals on one server, as I will be spectating it.

Question: are the songs in the tournament going to be Audition songs only? Because....if not...since all servers have different songs, the people who play on aau would have an advantage if aau's unique songs were used. But if Audition songs were used, people from every server would be familiar with perfing them and it would be more equal that way xD

That's true Steph. not onli does it have to be audi songs, it would have to be essentially the audi songs that aau has cuz they phail to put in the foreign ones, or any server that has less audi songs than they have (which i highly doubt)

yes i have thought about this already, as i played canoon groove on the Aau server and it is horribly timed. I will actually be releasing the songs list 3 days before tournament time and you will those three days to practice the songs. ^.^

This will give everyone the opportunity to practice it to their hearts content and bring in as many perfs as they want to.

yea, to make life easier, and its easier to put into a database. Actually it can be modified to have 4 players so it doesn't drag on.

if everything goes well we should be able to start as early as this weekend [registration] then will take me about 5 days to get the list sorted out depending on the number of players and we can be set to play hopefully by the second week.

i wonder if playing audition is a good enough excuse for calling out?... :lol: :rolleyes:
